Oxy-Fuel Combustion Technology
Oxy-fuel CO2 capture systems involve the combustion of a hydrocarbon (e.g. natural gas – CH4) or carbonaceous fuel (e.g. biomass) with pure oxygen (O2) which eliminates nitrogen (N2) from the process leaving combustion products (or flue gas) consisting of carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapour (H2O).
The flue gas can be used as a source of heat and/or drive a gas turbine to generate electricity. The net flue gas is captured at 100% capture rate and can be further compressed, dried, purified and delivered into a pipeline for geologic storage or utilization.

Using Oxygen instead of air results in a pure CO2 stream and saleable by-products such as Argon, Nitrogen, and heat.

What is Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage (CCUS)?
CCUS is a suite of emissions-reducing technologies that capture CO2 from stationary sources (e.g. industrial and power generation facilities), compresses and transports the CO2for permanent storage in underground geologic formations (e.g. saline aquifers, depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs, etc.) or for use in making products (e.g. synthetic fuel, cement, etc.) or for energy recovery (e.g. CO2 EOR, geothermal systems working fluid).

What is the Circular Economy?
A model of production and consumption where the by-products of one process become the feedstocks of another.
The aim is to eliminate waste and pollution while enhancing the circulation and regeneration of materials and products at their highest value.
